Tie-Dye Baby Wraps for Malabar Midwives

Last year we were lucky enough to work with the Malabar Community Midwifery Link Service making tie-dye baby wraps. The wraps are included in the Aboriginal baby welcome health packs given to each Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander baby born through the Malabar Service.

"One of the outstanding innovations in maternity care at The Royal is the specialist Malabar Midwifery Link Service. Midwives work with Aboriginal communities, in an effort to improve pregnancy and birth outcomes for Aboriginal families at The Royal."

We joined forces with local tie-dye artists Sunny Daisy to create stunning dye patterns in red, black and yellow. Have a look at the following images of the wraps being made, including the beautiful shot of baby Lanaia Allende in her wrap, born with Malabar Midwives last year.
