Collaboration with Collective Closets, a Melbourne based conscious clothing label.
Over the summer the Second Stitch seamstresses worked alongside Collective Closets to make reusable fabric wraps. These fabric wraps were made from scrap fabric, in order to utilise what would normally be considered fabric wastage and thrown in the bin.
"Instead of single-use paper or plastic bags, each piece purchased from Collective Closets will come with a complimentary wrap, inspired by the African pagne and handmade in the Second Stitch Coburg studio using our headstock & offcut materials."
These wraps can be reused time and time again. Knot them into a bag to carry your groceries or belongings, use them as a tea-towel in the kitchen, they can even be used as a trendy scarf or hair accessory!
